Luck.

Brought on by chance rather than one’s own actions.

D is not lucky. He was placed in government care because of social stigmas regarding his diagnosis of down syndrome. He is not lucky to be in this situation. He has ZERO say of this situation.

We are taking action to provide a family for him. It is not luck. It’s all the choices of the adults involved. The heartbreaking choice his parents made and our choice to be his adoptive parents. He is not lucky.

D will have a family, a forever family. We made the choice to love him for exactly who he is...forever.

His story is... HIS story and we simply are apart of it by choice.
