Article 5

On the 24th, we got our Article 5 letter.  This is the first of two visa interviews for little D and us.  The NGO represents you at the first one and then we will do a visa interview when we are in-country picking up D.

Article 5 is a HUGE step.  Next up the MOJ will sign off on our Article 5 letter and then our case is sent to the courts.  We should have a court date in a month or so... this all depends on who the judge is and we have no control over that.  Our agency believes we will travel in the middle of October, but everything would have to move fast.  I am protecting myself a bit and think it will likely be the middle of November, but October would be SO much better.

At home, we have started to prep for his arrival! His crib is up and clothes are washed and folded.  We have our suitcases ready and we are ready to hop on a plane!  We know now we will not have to quarantine as long as we fly with negative COVID tests that are less than 72 hours old.  Our plan is to both go together and we are kind of hoping that we can get a shorter trip (5-6 days vs. 10-12 days).  We are so so so ready to welcome D into our family.
